 Great day few days @devoncountyshow with our team of heifers #southdevons #girlpower Miss Lilly the youngest in her class by nearly 6 months coming 2nd out of 10. The 2 yearling heifer’s Ewella and Frankie just missing out on the placings but very well behaved and great to see the classes supported well.

What a fantastic October we are having the cows and calves are really enjoying the glorious sunshine. The harvest is complete and the sheds are brimming with fodder and feed in preparation for what we hope will be a mild winter. This season has been great for us at Team Trevoulter, the calving has been successful with a superb quality number of calves on the floor that are doing really well, We are pleased with this years calfs and excited for new blood joining the main herd. Unfortunately due to some of our Show Team members having had inquires early on in the year we have not attended many shows this season. Even though we have missed this show season Trevoulter bred cattle have been doing very well namely Trevoulter Francesca and Trevoulter Dywana winning in the show ring with their new owner Chloe Quantick from Blatchford Herd, these were the first heifers sold from us and is lovely to see them doing so well. Also Dick Rundle from Trevean Herd with Trevean Arranz has had a good season this young bull is Sired by Trevoulter Arranz who he purchased from us as a 2yo.  To start the show season off our first show was Devon County. We had a fab time, fantastic line up of South Devon heifers, strong classes through out. Great future for the Breed South Devon Herd Book Society 👍🏼 well done to all competitors. Huge thanks to Chris Eddy for showing Trevoulter Ewella 2 beautifully and placed 5th overall. Kerensa missed out on showing this time as she was on foaling duty at home Team TBS (Trevoulter Barton Stud) @tbsstallions rewarded by the arrival of a gorgeous bay colt early hours Thursday morning.

Very pleased to have been placed 3rd in the Best Group of Three Pedigree South Devon’s Class. Also being placed Reserve Special Prize in the Group of Three bred by the same sire. All 3 animals are by our 8x Male Breed Champion Welland Valley Crusader 5. Overall the individual classes were very well supported which is great to see for the South Devon Breed, unfortunately not our day in these classes. Looking forward to the start of the one day shows kicking off with Liskeard Show on the 14th July.
